1. A cylinder whose base is an ellipse is cut by an inclined plane passing through the minor axis of the ellipse. Compute the volume of the solid thus obtained. The linear dimensions are given in Fig.45

2.Constructed on all chords of a circle of radius R parallel to one and the same direction are symmetric parabolic segments of a constant altitude H. The planes containing the segments are perpendicular to the plane of the circle. Find the volume of the solid thus obtained.

3. A right circular cone of radius R and altitude H is cut into two parts by a plane passing through the center of the base parallel to the generatrix. Find the volume of both parts of the cone (the sections of the cone yielded by planes parallel to the generatrix are parabolic segments)

4. The axes of two equal cylinder intersect at right angles. Find the volume of the solid constituting the common portion of the cylinders
